A lightweight, purpose-built orchard management tool for hobby growers to map their orchard layout, calibrate boundaries, and track basic tree records.

The Hobby Orchard Management App is a lightweight, mobile-first tool for hobby growers who want a simple way to plan and organize their orchard. The current version focuses on visualizing an orchard on a plat map, calibrating the orchard boundary to real-world coordinates, and placing tree markers directly on the map.

It is designed as a local-first app for capturing orchard layout and basic tree information in a clear, visual workflow

Current capabilities

The app currently supports:

  • Uploading or selecting a plat map for the orchard

  • Calibrating the orchard boundary using GPS-based corner placement

  • Placing trees on the map and saving them locally

  • Reviewing and updating basic tree information such as species and planting date

  • Using species-based markers to visualize the orchard layout

Planned enhancements

The following features are already part of the product direction and are planned for future development:

  • Richer tree profiles, including variety, rootstock, health notes, productivity notes, and seasonal tasks

  • Tree list views with search, sorting, and filtering

  • Seasonal care calendars and reminder workflows

  • Orchard insights such as yield tracking, growth history, and pest or disease logging

  • More advanced map interactions, including drag-and-drop tree editing and smoother navigation

  • Sync, backup, and multi-device support for long-term orchard records
